Experiencing Ganbanyoku Hot Stone Therapy

[Media Invite]

It could be age. It took me 2 weeks to re-adjust my biological clock to wake up at 6am after a good break of 6 weeks (school holiday). I still dread waking up at 6am but it is getting better than 2 weeks before. I still couldn’t sleep earlier. So my back suffered, due to this lack of sleep.  Fortunately, I was invited to Ganbanyoku, the hot stone therapy in Far East Plaza.

Ganbanyoku is also known as “Rock Bathing” in Japanese, uses precious magma stones from Japan to heat the body from outside in. The heated stones release Far Infared Rays (FIR) and negative ions to speed up the release of toxins through perspiration. The body’s acupressure points are also stimulated when they come into contact with the heated stones which help to alleviate joint, muscular and nerve pain. A 6-minute session is enough to help detox and rejuvenate. It is suitable for children as young as 12 to senior citizens.

When I first met Greta Ng, founder of Ganbanyoku, I couldn’t believe she is already 70. Greta is energetic, flexible and agile. It is very naturally to be drawn to her because of these attributes. I then got to know (through talking to her) that it was her trip to Fukuoka (Japan) that she was exposed to such therapy. With just a few days of this therapy, she felt re-energized and it helped relieve a long time backache she had been suffering from. She got motivated to bring this concept to Singapore, thus Ganbanyoku was conceptualised.

This is a 6-pax room . it is the biggest room. There is another 3-pax room and 2-pax room.

I am awed by the fact that, at retiring age, she is still willing to venture into a new business. Not just that, she was adamant on using the best material from Japan. She engaged a Ganbanyoku specialist from Japan to help her set up this spa in Singapore.

After my first session, I went back for another, this time with my sister's family. I felt the difference just after one session, thus I was eager to share with my sister and her family this gem that I was introduced to.

Everyone of them, from the young to the not-so-young, sang praises about Ganbanyoku Hot Stone Therapy. My nieces who had late nights and menses pain experienced relieve after the one-hour session. My not-so-young sister and her husband felt better blood circulation. And not just that, they even brought more friends to Ganbanyoku after experiencing its goodness.

The pricing is very affordable too, consider the numerous benefits of Ganbanyoku. Each session is $20 but if you sign up for 10 or 20 sessions, you will get 1 or 3 sessions free respectively.

One thing for sure: I'm going back for more sessions to reap all the benefits of Ganbanyoku. Will share more with you in my next post. Meanwhile, do go for a session to experience it for yourself. You'll love it.
